Welcome to the Happy Business Club

What is it?

The Happy Business Club is a monthly business meeting where you get training, coaching and accountability from a fully qualified business coach (me!) as well as mutual support and advice from fellow business owners. You’ll also get reminders of the actions you agree to take to grow your business, a closed Facebook Group and you’ll get a training workbook every month. It’s like having your own super efficient boardroom, a mini-mastermind or group coaching.

Who is it for?

The Happy Business Club is for business owners of small businesses who want to grow their business, make more profit, have a great work/life balance and have time to spend with their loved ones. It’s especially good for sole traders and people with only a handful of staff, as it can be quite lonely at the top, and it’s essential to have other people to bounce ideas off and hold you accountable for your actions. It’s also for anyone who is in charge of growing the business (such as Business Development Managers or Sales Directors), as the emphasis will be on business development, marketing and sales. In short, if you think that you can benefit from the support and advice of a coach as well as a group of business owners, and you have something to give in return, then this is the Club for you.

What are the benefits?

  • You’ll get support and advice from fellow business owners, who are in the same shoes as you
  • You’ll learn how to grow your business
  • You will be held accountable for your personal commitments, which makes it much more likely you’ll do them
  • You’ll get a training workbook, slides and video (even if you aren’t able to attend the meeting)

What happens in a meeting?

Every meeting will have the same format:
45 mins: commitment accountability from the previous month
30 mins: training (with workbook)
15 mins: Hot Seat
30 mins: commitments for next month
You’ll be able to arrive half an hour before the meeting starts and stay until an hour afterwards if you want to catch up with the other club members.

What happens outside the meetings?

There are a couple of things that happen outside of the meetings.

First of all, you’ll be reminded of your agreed actions in between the meetings. You’ll get an email from me with the commitments you publicly stated in the meeting (or sent me afterwards if you weren’t able to make the meeting). This accountability reminder is one of the strongest elements of coaching in general, and really helps people to stay on track and take action.

Secondly, you will be able to get more support, feedback and advice from your fellow business owners in the closed Facebook Group for Happy Business Club members. You’ll be able to ask for feedback on a new marketing campaign, get people to support you by voting for you if you’ve been nominated for an award, or simply share a success or a challenge with the group.

The Facebook group is also where you’ll find all the training videos and slides, so that if you can’t make a meeting, or simply want to go over some training again, you’ll be able to whenever you want.

And finally, experience has also shown that a lot of people end up doing business with each other, even though that is not the aim of the group. It is a completely natural extension of getting to know each other and wanting to help and support each other, without any pressure whatsoever to do so. This is not a networking group, even though you’ll end up with a network of people that you get to know very well.

Where and when are the meetings?

At the moment there are two meetings you can choose from: a morning and an afternoon one on the third Tuesday of every month. I intend to run at least 1 more meeting on a Thursday as soon as I have enough interest, so do apply, even if you can’t make the current meeting times or day, as there will be others.

The details of the current meetings are:
Venue: The Bristol Golf Club
Time: 10am until 12pm and 1pm until 3pm
Date: every third Tuesday of the month
Next meeting: Tuesday 12 December 2017

What do I need to commit to?

Attend regularly
To get the most out of the group, you’ll need to attend regularly. But we all know that sometimes life (or a customer) takes over, so even if you’re not able to attend the meeting, you’ll still be able to send in your commitments and be reminded of them. You’ll also get the workbook and get the video training in the Facebook group, so you don’t miss out on the training. But ideally, you want to put the dates in your diary and commit to them, as that way you’re most likely to succeed.

Be prepared to share
The group is all about helping each other, so you need to be prepared to share valuable tips and advice with your fellow business owners. This doesn’t mean giving your services away for free, but it does mean telling people about that useful video editing app, a successful marketing campaign you ran or the best place to get some banners printed. You also need to be able to share your successes and your disappointments, as we can learn from both.

100% satisfaction guarantee

I am very confident that you’ll love the group and will find it hugely beneficial to your business. If, however, you don’t feel you got any benefit from it, or you want to stop it for whatever reason, you can do so at any time. And if you want to leave after the first meeting and didn’t think it was of any value to you, I’ll even give you your money back – no questions asked. So there’s no risk at all in trying it. You’ll still get to keep the workbook, and you’ll have met other business owners, so it will never be a waste of your time.

Bonus benefits

Sometimes you might want to discuss a particular issue or work out a problem on a more personal basis. During a one-to-one coaching session with me, you will get to the heart of the issue much quicker, and you’ll be able to discuss more sensitive matters, so it’s well worth doing this occasionally (or even regularly).

As long as you’re a member of the Happy Business Club, you will be able to book one-to-one coaching session with me at a reduced rate. You can book a 2-hour session, which is normally £297, for only £247, or if you want a 1-hour session, you get this for £125 instead of £147. You will get this reduced rate for as many sessions as you like, as long as you’re still a member of the Happy Business Club.

As an early Christmas present you can come and visit the Happy Business Club on the 12th of December for £25 instead of £50. Just email me and let me know if you’d like to come along to the morning or the afternoon session.
